I'm only in my first round about with hydroton...I just cleaned them with water to remove dirty prior to using it........I flood 3x a day.......I LOVE HYDROTON. My 3x2ft table floods in 7 minutes and drains in about 20 seconds, no joke. HYDROTON RULEZ.

Just don't spill....there's no need to rip up carpet if you aren't a sloppy grower.....a simple tarp or plastic would work :) I don't use anything...even though I probably should take the added precaution.

me neither mafia....me neither! As for hydro....its just non-soil...less mess (usually)...and you don't have to water manually...even tho I guess its certainly posible to use hydroponics with soil containers if you really wanted...but this would mean you're using soil lol.....yea I'm stoned.
