also looks like you have tinfoil in there, not ideal. mylar or flat white paint will work better

the problem is that the light wouldn't hit the plant evenly. if you had a few cfl's it would be a good idea to put some on the sides.

I think it's best to put the light close above the plant rather than to its side. That way it grows up. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I use the two together. you can use t5's or cfls - or both together. I can't figure out what you want input on.
