Yeah just don't over feed them, and don't over water them and you should be fine. It's a weed it wants to grow you just don't wanna smother it with nutes use a very little bit at a time and then gradually move up to using more. Let me know how the castings work out for ya.

Best to start indoors for first time. Growing outdoors is really difficult but your end result will be well worth it. A plant can easily produce a pound under the sun however it's harder to take care of.

Just water them when the soil what your trying to do sounds really stupid. You might as well just get a hydro set up if you don't want to water them.
