hey skunk i think u should have waitied till the plant was older to start low stress training that plant, u could have strartled the delicate root system as it is still young, and if u have proper ventilation its not likely that ur plants got burned being that ur cfls are 3 inches or more...

what kinda soil are you using lee?

if ur using cfls ur best bet is to put them within inches away form the plants, compact flourescents run very cool , i use mine withing a inch or a lil less but i have proper ventilation

what i would do if u want a low profile plant, tie the main colas down let the lil stems in the middle catch up a bit in sixe then either top them if ur trying to have a brushier plant, or top then tie em and give it a really low profile, or u can just let it grow depending on growers preference
