Roots are Tapping into the Reservoir

Just checked the roots on my first grow, and it looks like i have put the plants too near the edge of the tray and pump. The result is that the roots have grown over the edge of the tray and descended into the water reservoir. Will this choke my plants, and if so, is it safe to cut them or will...

    Humidity

Its a converted caravan with the seats etc ripped out and two nft tanks under two 600 watt lamps. I have 15 plants between the two of them and eight in potts in between each. I have a fan to move the air around. I have vents for the temperature but live rural, so I don't care about the smell...

    Humidity

Thank you, Have you any tips on increasing humidity? I have got buckets of water in there but I am stuck on 32% and I am vegging. It was about 22% before the buckets and the leaves were starting to curl on the bigger plants.

Three weeks in and my plants are drooping!!

The plants are about 3 feet away from the lights (two 600W) To be honest the venting isn't what it should be. I set up an old caravan in January when it was minus 2 outside, so I was more concerned with insulation. I have got a fan on the flowers to keep a decent airflow going. I have been out...

Three weeks in and my plants are drooping!!

the temp is 25 degrees C and i am measuring right next to the plants so I get the temp where the plant is. Is that correct? To be more informative, i have two nft trays with 8 ladies each in them, they each have a 600 watt light on them. The temperature guage is in between the trays because i...

Three weeks in and my plants are drooping!!

I have had some yellow spots and lost a couple of leaves due to over watering, got over that, but now some of the leaves are curling up at the sides. Has anyone got any ideas. They seem healthy otherwise and seem to be vegging quite well (for as much as I know at this stage). The ph is 6 and...

    C02 enrichment

Got told by my supplier of seeds etc, that a c02 spray is a decent metthod. Just use carbonated water. I am a total new starter, but am giving it a go. So ask others first mate, because I am only on my first grow too. I also saw it on youtube. (I use a soda stream). Hope this helps mate

Two week old seedlings with some yellow leaves

Hello again, sorry to bug you, put the four suspect leaves have turned into crisps. All of the other plants are doing okay, but I am worried that I have a bigger problem. I have stopped spraying and put the grow lights to a higher point with about 4 feet clearance. My temperature could be a bit...

Two week old seedlings with some yellow leaves

Thanks mate, they were over watered originally. Now I have been watering fully once a day, twice at the most, and spray every hour. Although my 'helper' can be a bit heavy handed and hasn't been lifting the light after spraying. What am I looking for with bugs, and is it worth spraying for them...

Two week old seedlings with some yellow leaves

No worries mate, I should be more careful. Its being in the middle of nowhere you lose a bit of street smarts. Can't get the sunglasses to cooperate. I hope this pic is a little better. I think my helper is spraying the plants without lifting the light further up. Could this be a cause, because...
