T5 light does not penetrate a canopy the way mh or hps does. If your growing larger mothers that need to produce a high number of clones on the regular, then t5 just won't cut it. With a cool tube or air cooled tube you can get a mh pretty darn close unless it's a 1000. But none needs that much...

What lights are in each area? If hid lights, are there air cooled hoods or cool tubes? I think for your 5x2 area you should use a 6" inline fan with a variac speed controller to tone it down a notch or two. And then for your 3.5 x 2 , a 4" inline fan should do fine. Leave a hole in both areas...
