New grower. Taken interest in starting my own grow.

Ya, no need for someone to walk you through it. You will learn more by exploring and trial and error. There are many ways to have a successful garden, but there are some general guidelines that you should keep in mind with all aspects. Have fun with it and learn.. with that you will have much...

    foxfarm or advanced nutrients

Sorry no one has actually answered your question yet...Here's my opinion based on experience, agree or disagree, at least it pertains to your question. If you are going to swap out AN and use the FF bloom boosters, you would drop Big Bud and Over drive and use the Beastie Blooms and Chaching. FF...

Nutrient help please! Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect

Lol, because plants don't need nutrients right?

Nutrient help please! Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect

Yes, I think its weird. It seems pointless to run a 3 part if its all equal ratios, rather than deal with 2 bottles of Sensi Grow or Bloom added at equal ratios. Then again, some people look at that like four bottles because its 2 in Grow and 2 in Bloom.

Nutrient help please! Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect

No, you are correct.. you use all 3 parts in equal ratios with the pHP line. I dont know why they do that being that its a 3 part. I never understood it myself, which is why I just roll with Sensi. No worries though, I have plenty of garden friends that roll with the GMB and get just fine...

Another week of advanced nutrients big bud?(pics included)

I would run final phase on the first flush. The way I run it is... water in final Phase and let it sit for about 6 hours... so like 2 hours before my lights go out, I come back with plain water and flush heavy. From there I usually just continue to flush with water going forward. Final Phase is...

Another week of advanced nutrients big bud?(pics included)

It also looks like you have some yellowing and some leaf cupping. I would add some cal mag in your feed. It doesnt look like they are burning, but its hard to tell because your HPS lights make everything discolored.

Another week of advanced nutrients big bud?(pics included)

I have not run Shiva Skunk, but I have found myself in the same situation.. Run Big Bud longer or start OD?... Your buds dont look shabby and they still have 3 weeks to pack on size and weight. Some times I run Big Bud an extra week and only run Overdrive for a week or week and a half. However...

    Advanced Nutrients PH/PPM Perfect thread

I hear you on the NPK, but what is listed on the bottle is guaranteed minimums, so I dont take them to heart, just a guide line. With the additives you are getting more than just NPK. Like B52, you are getting micros from Kelp and better uptake with humic and folvic.. chelated calcium as well...

    Advanced Nutrients PH/PPM Perfect thread

Not even trying to be a hater, but this is lousy feedback. "You have not ever tried ph/ppm perfect but stopped using ph perfect... this makes no sense." pH Perfect came out only like a little over a year ago. Its also the same price as Sensi has always been. They never raised the price. 5 years...

Also, I would run at least that Hobbyist line up. It provides Benys, Vitamins/micros, Bloom Booster and Ripener. Other than that I run Bud Candy and Nirvana most of the time.

The calculator needs to emphases the dosage better for small plants. It does say to ramp up with each stage, but the core flower program is 4mls per L all the way through. I cut to about 3ml and I am happy with it. On smaller plants you should not run full strength, though I do notice that you...

    Best Hydro Nutes?

Why and how are you alternating Bud Blood and Big Bud. Just curious because I think you will find that running the additives the way AN explains has always worked the best for me. I think people (not saying you, but maybe) make things more difficult for themselves. Or think that additives don't...

Moving the light away should help it stop fox tailing. Calmag should clear your taco problem up.

    Best Hydro Nutes?

Haters can hate shaggy dog, Advanced works awesome in hydro. I have run their "hobbyist" line up with Sensi before they grouped there additives up into levels. Sensi A/B Grow, B52, Vodoo Juice through veg. Through Flower I run (Voodoo first two weeks) along with Big Bud, OverDrive and B52. I...

    Nute def or normal

Do you let those buckets drain? And do you let them sit in the run off? Also, why are you trying to seed them out? just take clones off of them instead. If you don't know how, you can research it on here or Im sure there is a youtube video about cloning.

what is considered a dog attack?

IMO Its not so much the dog/breed. Its the owner and how the dog has been trained and treated. I don't blame the guy for lashing out a bit. You have a Mastif.. its an intimidating dog, the guy probably shit his pants. It wasn't an attack, as others have said, he can file a report, but thats just...

What is the best medium to clone in?

Since it looks like you are growing in soil, I would use soil plugs. Im not a big fan of mixing mediums with rockwool because of potential pH issues, and I want my medium to saturate and dry evenly. I noticed this mostly with hydro. Hydroton would be dry as it should, but the rock wool plug...

    I Want Big BUDS!

Yes, gravity has some not so healthy ingredients for consumption like paclobutrazol. If you grow a nice healthy plant, IMO you don't need to use a product like that. I am all for using additives at the right times, but even an expensive additive is practically worthless if your not growing a...
