    Defoliation Method Opinions

Totally get that. I was referencing the ensuing posts. I'm basically talking about budding sites directly underneath a fan leaf. Clipping 1 of 7 leaf points off to allow light to reach the bud below this leaf as opposed to cutting the leaf off entirely. I wouldn't take off leaves unless I had...

    Feeding / flushing problems. help?

You can always call the folks who provide your water to see what's in it. If it lacks Calcium or Mag. you've got your answer. I add it to my H20 feedings as it's not really in the tap when it comes into the building..

    Defoliation Method Opinions

That was hilarious... The original question remains. I suppose if you don't believe in defoliation it's not worth the time, eh? Those opinions are well documented elsewhere and easy to find. I've already done all that reading and I didn't nor do I want to discuss that. I am asking folks who...

    Defoliation Method Opinions

Again... Tons of reading out there on all this. My question is: Anybody out there just cutting pieces of leaf off instead of the whole leaf? Seems to me this is a great way to keep fan leaves on top while allowing light to get down below we as needed.

what are the 1st tell tale signs of root growth on new clones?

Leaves usually droop when we first put them in and then perk up... When they perk up I think it's safe to say they are starting to grow roots.

    Defoliation Method Opinions

I am not looking to discuss defoliation as a general practice. A method I have been using recently is to cut off pieces of leaf which get in the way of budding sites instead of the entire leaf. Anybody else doing it this way? Any thoughts on pros or cons for this method?

    What is this?

Are you in veg or flower? We had some thrips on this current crop during veg. Sprayed a compound with spinosad heavily 2-3 times a day. The thrips were gone in less then a week. Took the plants a few days, maybe a week to recover but we're 5 weeks into flower now and things are going great. If...

PH Issue or More? Red, Rubbery Stems, Taco Leaves, etc Banging head against the Wall.

I do not know the PPM. When you say "the ph issue is being covered by others" what exactly do you mean? I have grown the Sour Kush and Durban Poison a few times with minor issues like this but nothing to this extreme. They are both showing all kinds of lock out issues. My friend dropped off a...

PH Issue or More? Red, Rubbery Stems, Taco Leaves, etc Banging head against the Wall.

I think you are right sir. I just flushed my Sour Kush with water at a rough PH of 6 and the run off PH was in the 4 range (very dark orange). With the H20 I'd been adding in the 7-8 range it seems like I've been exposing them to very wild PH fluctuations. Moving forward with preventative! What...

PH Issue or More? Red, Rubbery Stems, Taco Leaves, etc Banging head against the Wall.

Thanks for the fast response.. Some are clearly toxic. They all have that Dark Red / Purple Stem though. Is this a sign that P is not getting into the plant? Does that mean alone mean it's flush time? With the recommended flush, will cutting my usual regiment down by 50% (from 5ml of each to...

PH Issue or More? Red, Rubbery Stems, Taco Leaves, etc Banging head against the Wall.

I have some very, very sick girls. They are not taking nutrients. This is the fifth run I've done in this location using the exact same methods. Something has changed though and I can't seem to lock it down. The symptoms range from: - Red / Purple Stems (except the newest growth on all plants)...
