I want to get a new ballast and I've narrowed it down to two. There both switchable between MH and HPS and come with similar reflectors. The only differenence is that one of the reflectors offers a hole for the possibility of air cooling. It costs a decent bit more to order the one with air...

I just got 8 23 watt 6700K Daylight spectrum CFL bulbs for a couple seedlings. I don't have nearly enough lamps to hold all the bulbs. What is a cheaper way to hold the rest of my CFL bulbs?

Personally, I start with a Jiffy Pot, or a 16 oz. plastic cup. After about two-three weeks I move them to their permanent homes in 3-5 gallon containers depending on how high I want the plant to grow. I don't like to transplant more than I have to to prevent any shock.

My humidity was really low as well. I went to Wal-Mart by the way and they had a digital thermometer/humidity reader for ten bucks. I ended up putting several bowls of water near my plants and each one raised the humidity about 3-4 degrees.
