If your using ocean forest and adding nutes your probably over nuteing. How much nutes arr you adding per gal and can you get a ppm meter ? Fox farm usualy has enough mag and such in there nutes , but its also diffacult to cause toxicity or over due calmag .

I use small fish tank / water feature pumps ( about 3 to 4 inches square ) 1/2"tubing . I have wait drain near my dwc bucket so im good but if i were you i would have 2, 5 gal buckets . 1 to pump waist into and 1 with fresh nutes and phed proper to pump back in . Works for me

I change water every 2 weeks . When refilling res i let the hose wash over the root system when filling . Last 2 weeks im with SNOCAT Im letting the nutes lower them selves till last 4 days ish then strait phed water when tric's look right
