Thanks, I like to bust up the colas to let them air out better while they are drying. I've found that keeping the long cola with 10" of stem invites more mold and chance of unwanted odor.

8 would be a good capacity. Are they in two rows of 4? For 9 plants I would do 3 rows of 3 and still have a decent penetration. There's always room for supplemental lighting.
