Maybe it does but less flower time means less growth. So unless it also makes the plant stronger and grow faster you would end up with less yield.

Yes but if you cut the bud off It will still have a growth point yes? as long as you leave a node where the bud was it will grow. I'm not saying to cut the buds off always for re veg, I just would have in the OPs situation. I wouldn't do it to the top cola etc as this would just be topping.

what are you growing in? Any chance you could be getting root bound? Are you getting pollen or just balls with liquid, unformed seeds inside? From the pics and since you say you have already pollenated to grow seed it is kinda strange I agree.
