I use my tap water and sometimes I dont even set it out for 24 hrs. I stick my smaller plants right under it. Never had any problems. Just saying. Course it always depends on where you live too. Ive never tested my water pH but my soil pH stays where it should be.

why would you feed feed feed? You dont and shouldn't be only feeding when you water. There is no need for it and its going to cause problems. You water between feedings because your soil already has food in it from the first time you fertilized it.... so you let the plant soak that up before...
