i didnt bother with any dark period with mine i just went straight from veggin after a week. straight to 12 on 12 off for flowering and its startin to bloom now

with 14 inchs of depth your best off with alowering system for t5.s that way u dont have to feck around with bulbs

im using cfl.s all around a square box on each side and a huge 125 watt cfl above the plants.125 watter is a red spectrum cfl lettin out 2700k along with 2 cfl lettin out 3000k each and 2 energy lights at the sides possibly about 40 watts between the 2 of them but needing to change them to 40...

also a plant can take up to about 5 mins worth of light whilst its in its sleep state but make sure that light ya using to see those plants is green in colour as they dont get light sympthasis on the plant by the green light but as for 24 hours i think those plants wont last if they do let me...
