Should I be topping off my rez with plain distilled water or nutrient water?

The brownish spots seem to be making there way to the newer leaves as well. Its not bad, but I want to make sure it doesn't get worse. I have the grow big at 1/2 strength and a tsp of cal-mag in there (per gallon). Also, about 1/8 teaspoon of tiger bloom, thinking this might be my problem...

hahaha I hear ya...I use my vape and smoke mids all day long and you can't tell the difference...That is until you smoke some good, then you immediatly know the difference

regarding the pumps, I have all my lights and aerogarden (now set to 24/7 light) on the same timer so when lights go off so does the AG and fan and so forth. Airstones have their own plug running 24/7. So pumps run 18 hours a day. Got a nine finger before I topped her :joint:

Turning pumps off completely after root growth is healthy?? Good or bad idea? How would I do this? Thanks!

hmm I think I might just turn them off, I want to extend the life of my AG for as long as possible. I feel leaving the pump on 24/7 for 3 months won't be to good for it. (On salad greens)

One more thing...I was just reading the forums and a lot of you talked about turning your AG pumps off once the roots reach the water. Mine are definitely in the water, how do I turn my pumps off? Do I leave them off 24/7?

I can see how putting water in the hose before would work. I just use my mouth, but if you don't want to taste nutrients then I don't blame you. (If you time it right, you give a quick suck, the water will never touch your lips) Its really easy, I've never gotten any in my mouth before.

haha no drawbacks. works great, takes me about 60 seconds tops to drain my rez. :peace:

I have an old vaporizer hose (Surgical plastic) that I use to Siphon out the water. Its really easy. No need to move anything. Plus siphoning is just amazing, thank you physics.

So I went ahead and made the drive to pick up some nutes. I got cal-mag plus as well as tiger bloom. I already have the foxfarms hydro grow big, (don't know why I didn't include it in the pic) I am going to be using half strength on the cal-mag and grow big. So about 1 1/2 tsp of grow big...

My kit only goes down to 6.0, its yellow, so I'd say somewhere right around 6 then. The droop almost completely gone already, I think all is well. Well see, I'll post some more pics soon.

She started drooping today, I added about 1/2 a tablet of the aerogarden nutes to try to give it a little boost. Also, the leaves are getting these white and brown spots (picture), lack of nutrients as well? Got an extra CFL, so about 6000 lumens now. I'm broke so thats all I can do right...
