thanks for the good advice guys. finkler your saying that if my plants are budding when they go outside that they will continue to bud even though the light is completely different? It sounds too good to be true.

broken light will be better than complete shade. try putting them on the edge of the shaded area?

If I start my plants indoors can I sex them (switch to 12/12) then switch it back to veg before taking outdoors? would it too much of a shock?

I'm only using about half of that space. its a stealth grow. I put a blanket up around them to keep em warm and got the temp to around 80 degrees. 150 watt is as large as I can go for the time being by the way.

I am setting up a grow room in a closet that's about 3' x 4'. What would be the most affordable and safest method to heat it? it tends to be fairly cold in that particular closet but I have to make due with what I have. also: what do ya all think of this price for a small hps...

I am also looking for a way to quiet my inline fan system. my idea is similar to a silencer on a gun... maybe a coffee can between it and the grow box?
