Taste quality is well less then desired..

interesting. Earth juice was the first organic nutrient base i used. I also ran my own flushing experiment, and the flushed product came out tasting worlds better. I haven't been able to bring myself to feed the last week of flower since. Now i'm running roots organics, along with some of my...

Who wants to play guess that plant problem?

I've been able to get a plant to "claw" like that by forcing it to veg in a container that it has outgrown. Your parts per million are not the concern here. It looks like that plant is in a one gallon container, and almost two feet tall, and it's telling you its ready for a larger space.

    Regarding Dry Ice Method..

yeah in my earlier post you can see that i suggested fully drying the plant material before dry sifting. Although i thought that would be a given to anyone with a shred of common sense. You're proving my point that all dry ice will do is speed up the process. you say that you still saw resin...

    Cloning by leaf ..

google.com hahaha I have the article, but no link. i'm sure you can find it with a little looking. I don't think it's going to serve any real purpose, besides keeping a strain around that is near extinction.

    Cloning by leaf ..

high times did an article on it not too long ago. It has been done plenty, it just takes too long. i think it's more for novelty purposes or to save a strain that can no longer be cloned for whatever reason.

    Regarding Dry Ice Method..

so you're saying you can't get all of the resin off of plant material using the dry sieve method? I've made plenty in my time and I don't intend to argue with you about it. You can get the same amount of resin with the dry sieve method period. I agree that it is faster with dry ice, but you...

    Regarding Dry Ice Method..

nice write up, But using dry ice isn't going to put more resin on the plant, nor will it make the resin more potent. i don't know what gave you that idea. Dry sieve hash is not easy to make if you're going for top quality. I've made plenty dry sieve hash that melted right through a screen...

    Regarding Dry Ice Method..

yeah no doubt it helps quite a bit. He was saying it's pricey and was trying to find a way around using it. You won't get more resin glands off of the plant using dry ice, they will just come off faster.

well i'm sure it's not the jar that smells man. When the jar is closed the smell coming out may be more concentrated. but your flowers are definatley the cause of the smell. You might have just gotten used to the smell so it's not as apparent to you. let a friend smell it and give you an...

    Cloning by leaf ..

ever heard of cloning from leaf cultures? Just enough plant material to get the dna from the live plant can make a new plant. It takes way too much time to do, but it's kinda cool. You can get a plant to grow from just a leaf, or even less.

Taste quality is well less then desired..

This is another one of those never ending arguments, and it's all a matter of opinion. The easy way to determine which way is best for you, is to test both methods. Flush one, don't flush the other. Easy peazy

    lumatek or quantum E-ballast

I have to drop my two coins here. Just had my lumatek blow a fuse, called the company rep and he said i need to return it and get a new one. If you don't mind sending your ballast back in everytime a fuse blows and having your garden sit in the dark while you wait, then don't worry about it...
