i remember reading about the rule of thumb on this site if you can put your hand under the light for x amount of minutes without it getting hot, then its ok. the reason i ask is because i am using a cooltube so i know you can go a lil lower with it than a non cooltube.

hello, what is the rule of thumb for how close you can have your plants to the lights? is it if you can keep your hand under the light comfortably for 5 minutes, then its ok? or was it if you can keep your hand under the light for longer? thanks.

its a recirculating system, a table with a built in resivoir. so basically flood and drain. so all i got to do is dump the nutes and then close the drain plug and fill the table with pure water and open the drain (with the plants and rockwool slabs still on the table)?

also have a CO2 question: ive heard CO2 only during flower is ok, though its optimal if you do it both veg and flower. im pretty sure you only use it when lights are on, but if that is the case, does this mean use it 24hrs a day while on veg and 12/12 on flower? or keep it on steady 1500ppms...

during veg were u using CO2 24hrs a day at steady 1500ppms? or just 15min per hour?

it acually varies city by city. there are still cities that are opening up new clubs. i am pretty sure long beach isnt allowing any more clubs. my buddy has a club in san lorenzo and i want to partner with him and open up another one in a diff county. yeah there are lots of risks and red tape...

i think vertical he is using for the supplamental light. if heat is not a factor use mh and hps.

just make sure u have enuff height clearance if you r going to veg to 3ft. ak grows tall and bushy so u might need at least a 12ft ceiling

/\ good advice up there. also, have you even grown before? if you havent, you should scale down your op. how do you plan on trimming 16000w worth of bud? on a side note, 16 lights in that area can work if cooled properly and the celing is high.

oops sorry, i didnt read closely. not sure about too long. just make sure you only co2 during lights on and try to keep your co2 ppms to 1200-1500
