Higher temps make it drier.... dont know if you misunderstood but my baskets are actually in the water 1 inch till i see roots, i also use hydroton not sure the difference with rockwool. easiest way to add humidity is to lower the temp and/or add a small pail with a hand towel half in half out...

You may have planted the seed too deep, they should only be covered with a very light layer of soil not compacted..

Everyone doesn't grow in soil...

Also it is safe for seedlings assuming its used properly... Do you know the ec or ph of your soil?

Do you manually water them from the top daily until the roots take hold? temp are also a lil high.... And why they are that small the rez level should be an inch above the bottom of the pot until the roots hit water and at that point i lower the water to 1 inch below the bottom of the basket...

U think 18-24 inches off the tops is too high for a 400? we go by temp at the plants to base the lights height..

Use any 6v, 9v, or 12v power adapter, Not sure about a cell charger. Anyone know if cell chargers send full power all the time or are they designed to trickle?

Depends on the feeding schedule of the nutes your using, with the ones i use (Foxfarms) it requires 6 rez changes in a 13 week period, but during those times you will still need to monitor your water and get your ppms where they need to be by adding nutes and/or fresh water to your rez.

DWC cost more to setup, requires more maintenance but beats soil any day in my book... with dwc u can easily monitor exactly what is going on at any given moment if you have the proper tools and alot of times its easier to fix vs. soil if something were to go wrong.
