i've never tried this, but i've heard that you can get essence of lemon (peppermint, orange, strawberry, mint) from candy making supply stores. mix 2 ounces per gallon with their last watering and you should have a pronounced flavor/smell
you think it was a magnesium deficiency? if so, for the future you can get epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) and add 2 tsp per gallon to fix the deficiency. or foliar spray for faster uptake
can't see pics, but if you made a soil ratio of 4 parts hydroton to 1 part soil, that is definitely a problem too. Soilless media only works because hydroponic growers bathe their plants in very high amounts of professional grade nutrients. You need more soil for the type of nutrients you are using.
nope, leave it alone. Even if you get the seed case off, the plant is unlikely to unfurl it's leaves until it's ready. Either it'll open or it won't. If you see the leaves trying to come out but getting stuck on a mostly open helmet, then you could help a little.
i'm a hydro guy personally. You need somebody else for advice like that. the back of my botanicare grow formula says to use 1 ml for every 200 ml of water. hope that helps
yea, it's a green light, not red. Your set up is VERY similar to mine. my flowering room is 10x12x8 feet high and I run 2 flood tables 4 x 5. Are you planning on building your tables? If so, I can show you how I build mine in two weeks through my journal. You're going to need a biggg reservoir...
I want to reference this thread whenever somebody asks if shifting their potted plant, watering with tap water, vegging in 80 degree temps, etc will stress their plant. That's the only good I can see coming from this train wreck :) Good luck Michael!
your plants look pretty healthy imo. I too noticed the bending and it's a salt buildup. If you want to make sure you're not close to locking nutrients out, check the ph of your runoff water and if it's significantly higher than 6.5 you should probably flush. I think that's a bit extreme for this...
you said you grow in soil right? your plants won't need nutes for a few weeks now. Adding nutes now would actually do more harm than good. Co2 isn't necessary for plants these size either. Simply breathing in there while you're working will raise the co2 levels to 500 ppm. co2 is great, but wait...
