    Please help with ROOT ROT

H2o2 works for me! 150 ml every 3-4 days for a 42 gallon res. You need 68 degree temps or lower tho

First Hydro Grow: Flood and Drain/600W HPS

I use a 85 gallon reservoir for 4 x 10. Your res should be large enough, you'll just be topping off more often. I second the idea of more air stones. I also use 4. 2 pumps. I'm in the process of figuring out the amount of optimal veg time for under 50 plants. If you're doing a perpetual, 40...

    Why Grow with Hydro?

I have to say, I am a hydro grower and I spend a lot of time in this section. I think the hydro mod is doing a disservice to everybody that posts in this thread as well as this section. You should be ashamed of yourself. To the original topic, you can really pack the plants in, in hydro. If you...

    ballast help

I've had magnetic ballasts crap out on me. The entire thing becomes burning hot and, in my case, melted the cord running to the mogul base. If you plant on using this, i would recommend hanging it by chain so it isn't touching anything flammable. Check the extension cord for heat too

    Lsting.

The main reason for transplanting into larger pot is developing a concentrated root ball. If you put a plant into the final size right away, the roots will travel between the dirt and the side of the pot. This is partly how plants can become root bound. I tend to focus on the development of my...

    Ebb and Flow Recommendations

A standard aquarium pump matched according to the size of your table (fill in 5 minutes) will cost you 20 bucks. The most important thing for me in a table is drainage and making sure your plants aren't sitting in water.

    New CO2 generator

Taken from jorge's bible, "a yellow flame means unburned gas (which creates carbon monoxide) and needs more oxygen to burn cleanly."

    New CO2 generator

The the OP, you are mixing up carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. One can be used by plants and one can't. Orange/yellow flame is carbon monoxide. Blue flame is carbon dioxide.

    Ebb and Flow Recommendations

Ebb and flow is a stupid simple hydroponic method. I know cuz this stupid simpleton uses it :) you don't really have to buy a commercial grade table. They are easy to make. I can't imagine how any manufacturer would be bad at this.

    Please help!!

If the situation is as dire as you say, def stay in soil. You can upgrade once your situation allows. If you're thinking long term, set up a perpetual. You need a veg room and a flower room. 400 w metal halide for veg, 1000 w hps for flower, nutes, and proper air circulation will get what you're...

    stupid me

Sounds like they are past the point of lst. If they've begun to flower and are stretching, the stem hardens up and just cracks. It's okay to do that in an emergency, but as others have said leave it alone and it'll perk up

setup room in summer...now it's too cold!

A 600 wil raise the temps for sure. That would be a good upgrade for you. Just keep in mind what it will do in the summer time

2x600 hps ebb & flow. Chronic, Grapegod, and Bluecheese. Single cola SOG.

Ya hydroponics is the best way to get a sterile grow room. Soil brings in a lot of stuff.

    Need A Place To Grow

Good luck growing in Brooklyn with the rental and electricity rates. Sincerely, it's possible but more than likely you'll do better as a solo project than splitting hypothetical profits

2x600 hps ebb & flow. Chronic, Grapegod, and Bluecheese. Single cola SOG.

Firstly, I know from experience you can still get fungus gnats with ebb and flow lol. They're easily controlled with yellow sticky traps tho. Also, I'm not sure what al uses, but metal halides are the preferred veg. Good for stem and root growth. To the OP, don't give up! I have a system similar...

    Large Plants...Small Roots

The amazing part is how healthy the rest of the plants look. I would never know the roots were gone

    Root removal from mediums

You can go through the hassle of reusing coco but there are very few ways to properly sterilize the medium. Hope you have friends with a greenhouse nursery! Or just get hydroton.
