And I know people say mh for veg and hps for flower, but this is my first grow and I opted to keep the room temp and electric bill down thats why I went with the T5.
Well this is also my first time grow. Ive been reading up alot on growing "mostly here" and this is what I have so far. Ive got 2 lil ones been sprouted a week the others have sprouted in the last 2 days I think 8 all in all. Ive been watering with water at 6.6 pH, room temp is at 75, and...
You can even use a white light bulb just pour salt in and shake.... How do I know this? Because my old roommate made a meth pipe that looked just like that I came home and tha bastard was shakeing salt in a light bulb. Needless to say he packed his shit a couple days later.
My pH level was a lil too high about 7.2 I bought pH 5.0 Seachem discus buffer, adjust pH to 5.8-6.8 Ive got it about 6.6 right now but my question is, is this stuff safe to use on plants?
Thanks for your input.
Ya if I had a local store I would go there but I live in a tourist town right in the middle of the bible belt in Arkansas. So im pretty much gonna have to order online, but here is another site that will mix bulbs on T5 Discount Hydroponics - Pioneer T5 Lighting
Ya I was really looking at hps but Im not electricly inclinded so constructing my own is not an option. Plus the heat factor with hps im not looking forward to I was really hopeing a T5 4' 6, or T5 4'8 will work as well. But thx for the info.
Ok well 1 time about 3 years ago I thought what the hell I'll grow a plant. Germinated some seeds, planted them "now take in mind I had no clue AT ALL what I was doing" put it under a 12" desk fluorescent lamp about 1 1/2 months later it was about 16" tall. Threw it out cause of girl friend...
All I can say is WOW! Obvously I need to upgrade my lights, but here where I live its alot easier said than done. But here is a site where I think I may have found T5 4' 8 tube for a good price. Unless the $340 setup includes the bulbs. T5 Fluorescent Fixtures
First time grower here, came across this when I was just looking for all the information I could possibly get on growing. I found lots of good information here and look forward to my first crop.
