Squeezing rockwool is a bad idea because it collapses the fiber and it is not like a sponge and will not spring back. Then you are left with little airspace and soon root rot.

You'll be real happy with your yield taking 4 girls to harvest under a 400w and you shouldn't have any heat problems with a 400w either but you may if you go higher wattage and you are not venting.

My plants on the fringes do the same thing under 400w HPS. I just take it as I need a better light and reflector.

Put cube 1/2 inch above water level. If the water touches that cube they will not grow and the leaves will start to die. I made that mistake the first time. Just water around the cube for a day or two.

aussiejay - If it were me I would get my PH to 5.8 and make sure whatever I measured the PH with was giving me a correct reading, then I would get my ppm up to 700 to start and see how they respond, you may need to go even to 900 but I would think you would be getting close to nute burn level at...

I think you would need atleast a 600W HPS to get 3/4 lb and maybe another plant depending on how much you have vegged them.

I like to start giving them just a little nute after their first real leaves are up.

I am new to hydro and what you said seems to be contrary to what I have heard. Are you not required to flush with plain PH'd water every couple of weeks in order to remove excess salt build up that will in itself cause a lockout?

In my experience that is typical of underwatering. Just try to keep that soil a little more moist. They will spring back to life, may need a little support after the trauma.

Are they only in hydroton? No rockwool or anything?
