I'm assuming by local plants you mean phalaris grass, this is a relatively easy extraction, though im not so sure about its effenciacy or if it even works.

If you could go out and pick those plants, and juice them, you could do a simple extraction from there to produce something worth smoking. Unless you have a big ass acacia tree, i dont you will find that smoking plant matter will result in anything.
