yes, add water.... it really depends on your location and the time of year for the "perfect" ammoun of water. But I generally just go w/ just over a gallon w/ some Oregonism XL mixed in.

It's just not needed that last week or so, most people just shut it off then because it's a waste of CO2. I ran perpetual w/ it on 1500ppm all the time, i only saw issues w/ that the first week or so... never had an issue running it to the end but i also didn't see any difference when I cut...

i topped about 7-10 days before flip, seems to have worked out just fine so far. If you are topping right before or at flip, then yea... there could be some issues.
