    Temperatures

Machead: I'm one of those yanks who doesn't do well with the Celcius temperature scale so you'll have to do the conversion. At school, for hydro, they recommend 65 degrees F at night to 75 F in the day time. I've pushed it to 80F without any problems but that's why I went back to dirt, it's a...

4' T8 32watt hood.. its all u need to grow plants in veg. just look!

Norcalking: That's what we had for years, and yes, it works but if you like T-8's you'll love T-5's. For one thing you might find a wider selection of light color/frequencies. HSA

My indoor CFL setup, advices on light,soil,co2 ....

Eside:I wish there was an easier way, but from what you ask, I think you might be new to this so I’d suggest you RTFB and refer to the following: 1. Read: SeeMoreBud’s book, “MARIJUANA BUDS FOR LESS- GROW 8 OZ. OF BUDS FOR LESS THAN $100.” 2. Read: Jorge Cervantes’s...

    Starting seedlings under a T5

Trusin: you can use T-5's from seed propagation all the way up to harvest if you have the right color/frequency tubes in it. Try it, you might like it. HSA

First grow. Under T5 lights. Grade me!

Fortheloveofgreen: It looks like an "A+" to me. I hope you logged every move so you can do it again. HSA

Are these lights good for growing seedlings for about 2-3 weeks ? :)

James: I've been working with T-5's exclusively from seed propagation to harvest for over a year and I've had very good luck. I use 5,000K's from sprouting to flowering on a progressive light schedule that starts with 20 hours on and 4 off and reduces by one hour per week. When I see...

***DWC First time grow a couple questions*** +rep

Krazeo: there are a lot of different ways to skin a cat. The nice thing about having individual pots is that if something bad happens it only happens to one plant. If there's a problem in an interconnected system: pH swing, nutrient lock out, nute burn, an algae bloom, etc., it affects all your...

8 weeks flowering do they look done?

whackbag: what do they look like under a microscope? If more than 50% of your trikes are discolored I'd flush it and harvest it. I hope that helps. HSA

CFL 105 watts... Distance from canopy up to 11 inches good growth?

Curto: listen to Chrishydro on the back of the hand rule. If it burns your hand it will fry your plants. I have two different brands of T-5 fixtures and they both recommend keeping them 6" to 1' above the tops of my plants but I usually keep them a about two to three inches off the tops with no...

    Removing rockwool from rooted clones...possible?

I suppose you could, but why would you want to? Unless you're using a gigantic block of it, it shouldn't get in the way. I've cloned in rock wool and gone to both dirt and hydro without any problem. Just be sure to cover your rock wool or you're bound to have mold problems.

T5HO vs T8 vs PL Compact Fluorescent

Thc&me: unless I'm mistaken, T-5's are a little more efficient than your T-8's and they burn cool enough to keep them really close without frying your plants. Just make sure you buy a fixture that will completely cover your grow. They don't spread light like MH. As far as your red color is...

    [Closet grow] CFL's Flower station.

Stranger: you might want to try an inch or two of Vermiculite under your dirt to hold the water and attract the roots down. You might also want to consider growing under a ack of T-5's. Just make sure you buy a fixture big enough to completely cover all your grow. It one fixture and one cord and...

    my first time

Atuoflower: I wouldn't. I did at first and it wasn't worth the trouble. I found A/G's nutes were too strong for the one or two seedlings you're going to start with and not the right formula to flower with. You've got to remember that the A/G was designed to grow culinary herbs and veggies and...
