Day 47 pic of my #1 girl!

Here's a shot I just snapped of my Chemdog #4 on day 47 into flower. The suspense is killing me! bongsmilie I think about 2 weeks left on her, what do you think? She's been pushing nothing but white hairs, so a week seems much too soon.

    My first 1000w+ Grow (LED+HPS)

I'm tossing 9 of my girls into the flowering room today so they can get an almost 2 weeks head-start on my next round. 3 are lined up around the edge of the grow, and the other 6 are under a 90w UFO pulled out of the veg tent in the corner of the room. Only 8 are pictured, the 9th is next to...

    Re-using soil

I have had bugs, mold, etc. I've also learned how to avoid and eliminate them. It's hard for a bug infestation to take over a sealed room; bugs don't magically spawn inside soil, they have to get there somehow. If they do get in, then I get new soil. Simple. I'm not saying re-using soil is the...

    Re-using soil

I'm currently reusing soil, and have been for a few harvests. I use Sensizyme in the watering every week during veg, and on and off during flowering. It breaks the root mass up and actually feeds it to the plants. I also use a guano/worm casting/kelp tea to help replenish the soil. Also, if...

    LED Flowering questions +rep

Hey! I grow with LEDs and have for the last 4 harvests. Before you buy anything, there are a few things that need clearing up. First, DO NOT LISTEN TO LED ADVERTISEMENTS. A 90w LED comes no where close to equaling a 400-600w. However, a 600w LED can yield as much as a 600w HPS. For a 4x4...

    Hard Water! Need advice! +rep

I'm currently in week 6 of flowering and the water I use is very hard (high in Calcium). Now, it is starting to lock-out the magnesium from the leaves. What is a good way to get Mg back into the plant; or, how can I get the Cal out of my water? Also, it's week 6, so I can't use any really harsh...

    400mh and two 90led 2ndgen panel closet

My only advice would be to get a covered hood for the 400w, something like: http://www.growwurks.com/yield-master-ii-6-air-cooled-reflector-classic.aspx I am growing with a 400w HPS, 2x90w LEDs and a 450w LED. The glass covered hoods really help pull more heat out of the room; I'm using a 4"...

What method yields the most? (SCROG, SOG,etc) +rep!

Not in Cali. A law passed in January that states that no limit may be imposed by the state to regulate an individuals ability to provide his/her own medicine. If you can prove you need it (there's the catch), your prescription covers it. Will it cover 40 plants in a SoG, yes. Will it cover 40...

Advanced Nutrient growers, I have a question.

I've been testing a few to try for different yields. I'm using Sensi A/B, and testing out Nirvana and Sensizyme. So far, they are working out well. I like both the Nirvana and Sensizyme because I can use them on both my vegging and flowering plants. Both seem to increase the overall heath of the...

What method yields the most? (SCROG, SOG,etc) +rep!

I think I'm pretty sold on trying a SoG. I have 15 plants vegged and ready to go in the tent in a couple weeks already so I can't do one right now. But, with this harvest may come a new tent and new light. If so, I think I might have to run a SoG.

Advanced Nutrient growers, I have a question.

I'm trying to get my facts straight on AN. I love their products, don't get me wrong; but, it's hard to figure out which nutes are a 'must' and which are 'iffy' or circumstantial. (By circumstantial, I mean is it only good if you are growing small plants v. big plants, hydro v. soil...

    LED's tell me more

If you are looking to make one, this is suppose to be the "new age" LED light just coming out. It might be a good reference point for figuring out what color ratios to use. If you make one, post pics! :) http://www.hydroponicshut.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=56

    Led Users Unite!

Under $100 for a good one, not really easy to come by. Probably around $130 for a quality LED fixture (90w UFO). I've got 4 in my veg tent, the plants are LOVING it! Check ebay, but don't buy a shitty low wattage panel; 90w minimum, in my opinion.

    Advanced Nutes Connoisseur

I'm really interested in the Connoisseur line. I'm currently using Sensi Bloom A/B but am thinking about trying Connoisseur. Also, what are a few other 'good' AN products. I'm still trying to get to the heart of what's truly good and what's 'expendable.' Voodoo Juice? B-52? Rhino Skin? Bud...

    First LED Grow

My 450w panel puts off less heat than the 400w hps ballast, and far far less than the light itself. It gets warm to the touch, but that's about it. A bunch might warm a tent up pretty high if you have no ventilation whatsoever. But, if you add the same cooling you would use for a single 1000w...

    snow storm ultra??

You can foliar it just fine. I've been using it and it does have some pretty noticeable results. It is a lighter ppm blend than the original Snowstorm and Purplemaxx, so foliaring doesn't burn the plants like it use to. I used as foliar for the first 3-4 weeks, then switched to just adding with...

    LED's tell me more

Well said. If you try to set up a cheap grow, you're going to end up with poorly made LEDs that under-perform. Most high powered LEDs (over 90w fixtures, 1w, 2w, and 3w chips) are very similar now. The poorly made panels tend to appear much more on the low end of wattage. LEDs are not cheap...

    My first 1000w+ Grow (LED+HPS)

It all depends on how big of a panel you want. When used properly they produce just about as much yield, watt for watt, as HPS (from what I've seen). If you're trying to replace an HPS with a smaller watt fixture, you just won't get as much. They are, however, very very cool compared to HPS...
