I know what you mean. Every time I hit up the local grow shop I cringe at the thought of how much money I could pour on my plants. Im trying to stay totally organic.. as in CHEAP! The whole idea for me is to get my herb at nearly no cost.

Chances are good that your pots are getting root bound. Since it is late for potting up in size I suggest carbonated bottled water or seltzer water to get oxygen to the roots, some worm castings and 0-10-10 Alaska Morbloom mixed as a TEA. Brier Rabbit molasses is cheap too! You can shake it up...

Speaking of Stealth. in my opinion getting max yield from one plant in a very small space makes more sense. If you were to slip up and get busted with one plant it would surely be a lesser offense than making the local news with eight or ten or more. Also a box in your closet with wires hanging...

Get a long neck watering can. Its an old tool but it works fine. You can easily put the tip below foliage level without over doing it or spilling if you take your time. Go to a cheapo housewares store & they are pretty cheap.
