Your biggest problem will be not getting all of the air out and all parts of the cannabis to be coated with oil. We would let in sit in a South facing window for 6 weeks
If you think you need to decarb before you bake, you should decarb the cannabis before extracting. Place dry cannabis on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven at 252F for 27 min. Longer is not better as you can see from Jump's chart, THC starts to decrease.
ISO will smell. Make sure you evaporate all of the ISO, then use the hash to make edibles (this will not stink). Use Everclear 190-proof grain alcohol in place of the ISO. If you use ISO, get the 99%.
Congratulations!! See you & Mrs. Pirate on Sunday at The Cup. Do you have a booth? We will spend our extra time with PhillipsRX & Subcool. They are right next to each other this year!!
If Billy makes hash, and has it lab tested at 71% THC. He then puts 5g (5000mg) into 115g (1 stick) Ghee and makes 35 cookies. Does each cookie have 101.43mg THC?
So the sequence of operation is: The cannabis is heated, the terpene(s) vaporizes, and now it is trapped in the foil or oven bag. The terpene(s) cool down. My confusion comes to the next step. What has happened to the trapped terpenes?
I am just wondering how you factored-in your strain & quality? In other words no. I think all of the testing I have seen is testing for THC, not how much herb you used to make it.
I'll give that a try with both IPA & EtOH!
Bubba Kush is my favorite strain. I just made some ice water hash from buds tonight. My fingers smell soooo good! Can't wait to get to the full melt!
