4x1000watts= 4x145,000(lumens) = 580,000 lumens 6x600watts = 6x95000(lumens) = 570,000 lumens I would guess that more of those 570K lumens are usable than the 580k plus a better light distribution.... I believe it was something like 18 inches away with a 1000 watter = same lumens as 12 inches...

Watts per square foot... that is soooooo bad of a measurement... use lumens per square foot and shoot for 8000-10,000 for an OPTIMAL grow room. Use 600 Watters as they are more efficient and will outperform 1000 Watters in a multi light configuration. -potlike

I'd opt for elastomeric roofing paint over flat paint any day... 90% reflectivity and depending on the mylar type possibly over that. Do not use Emergency blanket mylar... and if you go mylar buy it in rolls... make sure it isn't folded 20 million times. You will get too many hot spots...

No. 3x600 watters are more efficient than 2x1000 watters when heat and light distribution are added as factors.. yes the 1000 watters produce 5,000 more lumens in this configuration but you have to figure that the useable lumens in the 600 watter will outweigh because of the spread that the 1000...
