    Strains for Beta Blockers?

My GF asked if I knew a strain that would help her with muscle spasms/tremors or what not. I experienced this with for the first time the other night, out of nowhere her legs started trembling and shaking, not violently but it was kind of frightening, I can only imagine what she was feeling. It...

    Quantum Dimmable Electronic Ballast

Most electronic and/or digital ballasts do run at a higher frequency anywhere from 22000hz up to 44000hz, which is why bulbs designed to run on standard house hold frequency ( 60hz ) tend to burn out prematurely. The quantum however, runs on 50-60hz, a feature not seen in many other e-ballasts...

What is the difference between digital and electronic ballasts?

    Digital Ballast Hype?

I just checked out that Elite Hydro link, and I like what I see, it runs at 50-60hz, and it costs around 341$, compared to a 1000w lumatek which costs around 499$, and this thing is switchable MH/HPS, I'm thinking this sounds too good to be true!

    Digital Ballast Hype?

Yeah I was gonna say that's pretty cheap! That Quantum series sounds pretty bad ass! How long have you had it, and what type of bulb are you running with it? I really like those Hortilux Enhanced Spectrum HPS bulbs, I wonder if the ability to turn up the power in steps will help the bulb last...

    Digital Ballast Hype?

@ 120$ a pop I give a shit, especially when the manufacturer claims a longer bulb life! They supposedly burn out faster because regular bulbs are designed to run at 60hz (ever notice that slight flicker?its noticeble in pictures) and digital ballasts run at 22,000 hz - 44,000 hz. The longer bulb...

~~check out my diy cooltube idea!!!!is it enuff???!!~!

I would say the cool tube would still be your best bet, reason being it will directly cool the lamps allowing you to get your lights closer to the plant tops, and making your garden more efficient. If you just had the fan pulling air from the top of the grow room, or like you said from in...

~~check out my diy cooltube idea!!!!is it enuff???!!~!

Sure, there are many options, hydro farm makes inline fans and sun systems makes them as well. Kinda pricey, but like they say, you get what you pay for, I think a 6" fan is over 150$, although I guess you could look for them on ebay or craigslist. I've tried using a booster fan before, and my...

How big do you want a Mother?

Yeah, I'd like for them to bet bigger, but I'd like to keep them withing the constraints of a closet or grow tent, so as you can see, that really wouldnt work for me, besides bigger plants need more light, something else I dont want to do, should I just make fresh mothers out of subsequent...

Okay dude, start using the spell check ( that's why most of your words have little red lines underneath them) not to harp, it just gets tedious, and you will get more replies as more people will take you seriously, yeah seriously. Um, I'd say using the ducting would be your best bet, that way...

    Digital Ballast Hype?

Ahh, didnt see the link, lol, but yeah I checked it out, so it seems Lumatek is a reliable choice. I've bought into manufacturers claims before, (fuckin' HID HUT :p ) so I dont really care what their website claims, I'd rather listen to peoples own experiences, so do you own a digi ballast, just...

    Digital Ballast Hype?

Better performance? How so, if your burning up a 120$ bulb sooner than your supposed to. It would actually be costing you more in the long run instead of saving you money by increasing bulb life. That is the kind of performance my wallet hates!

~~check out my diy cooltube idea!!!!is it enuff???!!~!

uh, 80-85 degrees, I think the plant actually stops growing at 85 and above, should probably shoot for a lower temp, say like between 70-75 degrees, strain dependent and all. I guess if its that cheap hook it up and find out for your self, as for my experience, yes those little duct boosting...

    Digital Ballast Hype?

So, as I asked the clerk at my local "cultivation station" about digital ballasts, he told me that they work well for a 400w bulb, but 600w and 1000w lamps burn out prematurely, exactly the opposite of what the manufacturers claims are. He said he would gladly sell me one as they are more...
