It appears that most strains that use the word "skunk" in their description, seem to produce a sweeter smell instead of that true to earth pole cat skunk smell. ( Pole Cat is a term some southerners uses for a skunk fyi)

I've read where the super skunky smell was bred out due to its non stealth, get you busted for sure odor being somewhat of a problem amongst growers. I can see that being possible. something has damn sure happened. That old school skunk was LOUD!
