    I would leave the dome on until they show roots out of the bottom of the cube. you don't really know what's going on in there so wait to be sure. with 2" cubes i noticed roots at about week 3. i used rooting gel. cuttings in just water and no cubes are easier to identify so i started doing that.

    plants will grow just fine in "below 4" pH water by the way lol just fine may mean actually not that great and shitty compared to if the pH was correct but they will survive
