I'm thinking (s)he meant a timer for your lights. You don't need a fan controller I wouldn't think, since having exhaust on 24/7 means fresh co2-rich air for your plants 24/7.

I used "Garden Safe Fruit and Vegetable Insect Killer" by Schultz. Safe for use up to day of harvest (supposedly). Also, yellow fly paper and introducing lady bugs to the grow.

I'm planning on moving soon and will probably be running 1600w of lighting (4x 400w). Is this too much to run in a room that also has a PC and TV (and possibly an AC)? If so, would it be safe to run a cord from an adjacent bathroom to power half the lights?

I remember hearing that leaving the sprayers on for 2 mins every 20 mins (2 on 18 off) give the best nute-o2 for 'em. Too much water can cause stem rot, though I've never personally used aero so I don't know if stem rot even applies... edit: although now that I actually clicked the link to see...

I'm just going to use 2 PC fans hooked up to a 12v converter in parallel. I've got 21 cubic ft in the cab and each fan is rated at 31 cfm which should exchange the air about once every 20 seconds, give or take. No filtration needed as it's just for mothers. Sounds like plenty to me.

I ended up buyin something different, but similar. My main issue here was stealth, its tough to make a grow tent look like something that belongs in a bedroom. Everyone hating on sog :P I'm runnin a sog setup and its not that much work, but then again im using hydro which cuts down dramatically on maintenance. i check on em maybe 4-5 times a week but i usually only have to top off the rez about twice a week.

That's a cool little cab there. Maybe try using some WD-40 on the fan to have it run smoother. Other than that, some rubber between the fan casing and whatever it's resting on might help reduce vibrations. Some fans are just loud though.

you have all those lights on one circuit? i only ask because im moving in a few months to a location where i can upgrade my op and am worried about overloading the circuits.

For veg you want the "daylight" blueish spectrum.

Ideal temps are around 75. Up to 80 is ok. Don't go over 85. If you're in that range you're ok. And don't use foil, it's not very reflective and some say it can cause hotspots that burn your plants. Whether or not that's true its still not reflective, even if it looks shiny. Mylar is best, but...
