Imo 18/6 is better than 24/0 simply because the plant needs time to rest which is the dark period. You could gradually take them down to 18/6 with no problem anytime.

Sounds like you're going to want to use cfls. You could go with a bunch of 23w and keep them really close to the plants. Or get a larger cfl, Im using a 250 watt cfl and it makes great bud. As far as strain goes, I think you should go with bagseed as this sounds to be your first grow. get some...

could be spider mites, I know dish soap in some water will take care of those with no harm done to the plants.

I think this guys in his own little world...:mrgreen: I average around 9 grams per plant using solo cups. I take 2 clones from a mother plant each week and flower them immediately. It works pretty well and its in a very small space. Harvest two a week for about 20 grams a week.

I usually dry in a dark cool room with circulating air for about a week, then straight to jars for curing. never had airy buds before.

I like to take lots of clones and give them 12/12 immediately, easily get half an ounce no problem on each one, and I do 20 at a time. I like it :)

All I used to grow was bagseed and it always looked 1000% better, I believe it's because I dont allow them to get pollinated and alot of the thc which would have gone to the seeds is in the bud instead.

Im debating myself what kind of cfls to get. I want to get the 250 watt on ebay I believe its around $100 bux, rather than getting a bunch of smaller ones, although I do know that they are less efficient the higher the wattage.

It will probably be fine depending on how much of the roots remain, it will more than likely go into shock for a few days. Whatever light you are currently using you may want to raise a little extra to keep it from getting stressed by the heat. Or you could go to walmart and get this stuff...

Oh, and are you starting the seeds in paper towels or in the soil. It seems to take longer if in the soil. If you are doing it in a paper towel I've found really good success by putting them in a baggie and putting them in a real warm place like under my waterbed. Usually have them cracked in...

If you're growing in party cups, which I am too it should be pretty easy to know when they are dry. It will be much lighter and the leaves on the plant will start to look droopy. I always wait until they are droopy to water and then soak them. Imo it makes them stronger that way. Good luck :blsmoke:

I use an ott lite for the first month of veg and it works great man. For the amount of watts, the growth on the plants is impressive.
