From my experience, a lot of seeds will crack and then within 48 hours they start to grow the tap root. I have had some that took 4-5 days and some that had a 3/4" tap root in less than 24 hours.... Good luck with your grow man!

yeah you can definately make due with CFLs for a closet grow. I have 20+ plants growing under my 12 cfl light and they are growing at least an inch a day and they are all very healthy.
