Need more advice from you awesome people

yeah you dont want to leave herms around your females, they'll both be seeded. Hermie seeds tend to produce more hermie plants. But dont pull if you arent sure. Wait to see balls

    help pretty please

put them under a light once they sprout. There's no need for a dark period until you start to flower. absolutely... even having a fan on too high or too direct can cause them to be damaged and look burned. They are delicate at this stage.

    Preflower Help!

how long did you dry the buds before you put them into jars? This is the part that is the hardest to get just right. If you have a small amount and dry just a day too long, you'll lose that dank smell rather quickly. If you don't dry long enough, you are in danger of mold. You literally need...

    Preflower Help!

Wow it's been a while since ive been on. Been busy with school and such. My new growing is going well. Ive started a grow journal on my profile with updated pics a few times a week. I would still harvest those clones that have gone all amber. After your grow is all dried and cured, just mix...

    hydro water temp?

I use a simple DWC with an airstone. I keep a few soda bottles filled with water in my freezer. When the water feels warm to my hand, I just drop a bottle into the bucket. I know this isn't very a precise or scientific method, but it works well for me since I'm cheap. What kind of system are...

    hydro water temp?

warm water holds less dissolved oxygen and promotes the growth of algae. So yes, water temp does matter.

ive never had to deal with outdoor pest issues. I hear good things about Neem oil, but dont know much about it. Once all the bugs are gone and the dead spots pruned, the plant will almost be good as new (hopefully) and you'll be able to harvest it.

    Newbie first CFL Closet grow

you're going to need aLOT more light. Like eight of those bulbs would do nicely for one or two small plants. Remember to get the blueish ones (6500K) for growing and the reddish (2600K) bulbs for flowering. Those Y splitters are available just about anywhere like Home Depot, Lowes, Wal Mart...

Not sure on how long to dry my buds

yeah thats another important part you need to get a feel for. How long to dry before you cure. If it's still too wet you risk mold. If you dry too long, taste will suffer.

Not sure on how long to dry my buds

i open my jars once a day. If there's a lot in the jar, I leave it open for like an hour. If its just a lil bit, I'll only leave it open for a minute or so. Do that for a few days, to a week. Its cool to smoke after that, but the longer you let it sit the better it'll be.

oo that does sound like an issue. I would ask your hydro guy about some organic pest control. Like something that makes the bugs want to leave instead of just killing them, since you wouldn't want to be smoking poisoned bug if they die in the bud. All catipillers like green leafy plants. I...

lol I see you like fractions better then decimals and % i use. The amber content should be much less then 1/3. More like 1/16 to 1/8 amber depending on how you like it. Ive had a cable guy come to my house one time. I could tell he caught a whiff of something he liked, but didnt make much...

Am I going to loose her? Bud branch splitting off trunk w fungus in tear crack - PIC

you could wrap a damp paper towel or cloth around that split. If you do this right, roots will grow out of that split and you can keep that branch alive and developing. Well, if you take care of the mold problem that is.

    Preflower Help!

that is correct. The problem with going by the hairs is that every plant is going to be different. Going by the crystals gives you a definite account of the content of the buds, not just how many hairs they have pushed out or what color they are. Yes, the white hairs age and turn red. that...

    Too big to flower?

You can, but it is always a good idea to give the plant a week to recover before changing anything.
