u can take cuttings off a plant at any time through flower but they will take a long time to root/ even if they do. then they will have to go through reveg before they start growing out again. i have never come across a plant myself like that although i have seen it a couple times on the site.

the main thing with coco is its inert, so you have to feed more or less everytime. i think your nutes should be fine to use as i use non specific coco nutes aswell. with the canna coco pro there is no need to wash it is already well buffered and ready to use. with the lighting issue i think use...

most aquatic centres have big buckets for sale and caravan camper outlets, other than that supermarkets have big food grade buckets that they get there bakery bits in and most will give you them for nothing. my local hydro store stocking various size buckets now too.
