Thank you for the patient and informative response. I think the lights are a bit overkill for the young plants which were only 30 days from seed. I tried to compensate by putting the lights very far above the plants but the better method would have been to dim the lights. I am going to try...

I've already answered most of these questions in the OP.. Ive used the exact same 2x4 tents for both lights. both are 200 watts at the outlet. the vero's are 2 feet from the plants and the vipar is 1 foot (I've heard that vero's need more clearance, is this wrong? I've fed them the exact same...

I have fed both tents on the same schedule, but I agree the vero plants look to have multiple nutrient deficiencies. I will swap half of the plants between the two tents, increase the feeding of the discoloured ones and monitor ongoing progress

it was timber's 200 watt vero29 framework . the lights are 2-2.5 feet from the canopy run on 100% output the other bulb was a viparspectra kit (200 true watts) about 15" from the canopy. the viparspectra tent also had better airflow which may be a factor. both tents had circulating fans...

Thank you for the thorough reply. I am shocked because of the seemingly universal support for these bulbs on the forum. It seems too widespread to be a marketing gimmick. I know many users claim to have much better results with the white LEDs so I am hoping some of them will comment as well
