sounds like some sort of fungus or mold. I would take the seed and go ahead and place it in the ground. Give it some time and it will pop. You dont want to leave it in the water to long or it will die from lack of oxygen.

I am gonna use soil and I havent decided on nutes yet. Any thoughts? I was leaning toward fox farm nutes. I have to order the nutes online whatever they are unless I can get it at lowes or walmart. LOL. It has sucked trying to find stuff locally.

I got a1/2 oz a plant from my first grow but it was bag seed, cfls, and MG soil so an oz a plant first grow sounds about right.

I want to grow a sativa strain for my GF so she will smoke with me. She is definatly a light weight so I dont want something to strong and a fruity flavor is what she prefers. Any suggestions?

Just an update. I decided to get Barney Farms Crimea Blue and TH Seeds Burmese Kush. I am still waiting to purchase my tent but in a couple weeks when I get the seeds I should be set up and ready to go.
