I still use the towel but you have to change the towel about every 2 days to avoid the rot. I also use a seed cracker but not sure if it helps really. Thinking of using tomato seeds soaked and then use the water to germinate the pot seeds. Heard that works good and I have tomato seeds h202...

    The most psychedelic strain!

The Malawi Gold from Hartigear is very good from smoking the top of a male. Will have to wait a month for the females to finish. They already have brown pistils at 5 weeks into flower. It looks a lot like skunk and may be a cross to be honest. If not crossed it has been selected to finish...

    The most psychedelic strain!

Outdoors is best but I can not do it here legally. I am growing Manipur currently. The most sativa in effect or as good as any in that regard. Also Chellakutti, Kullu, which are all Indian lines. All trippy even grown indoors. The Panama Red from Snowhigh is a bit better than the ACE line...

Have not had room to work with the Sinai but they are on my mind. Only sativa for now but one day. Have some Kashmir from ILE that is interesting. Wild stuff, Lolab Valley is the name. 30 seeds to a pack. Low germination rates. They did not warn of germination problems with the Cambodian...

The Manipur/Burma line. My Cambodian and Burma from ILE failed to germinate. I have them in dirt now but it has been 3 weeks. I do not expect them to sprout. This is the second pack of Cambodian from ILE that has failed to sprout. I am done with that company for now. I did order 2 packs of...

That Mango Thai is great for anyone growing it now. I have a few beans left of it. Smoked all the buds, hehe. I just got the Manipur, Highland Lao 2 and Lao Gold. Angus said the last two are close to Thai stick, but I doubt he was smoking in the 70's, so??? The Manipur from ILE is the...

Trichomes are about 50% amber at 4 weeks into budding?!?!?(not talking about pistils)

I do grow sativas and am not harvesting early. If you like the effect of leaving the plant till amber go for it. I feel nothing better in that experience. Some plants will not ever really go amber. Waiting for amber is letting it get overdone for me. If you notice a positive difference...

Well you do you but some plants shoot white pistils forever and will have newer growth no matter how long you leave them.

Just put a pack of ILE Manipur into paper towel. Hope it does better than the ILE Cambodian which looks to have no viable seeds in the pack at 5 days into germination. I took the seed shells off the embryos and will see if anything lives. Killed a few seeds doing that, split the embryo, but a...

Trichomes are about 50% amber at 4 weeks into budding?!?!?(not talking about pistils)

I saw my post in this thread about waiting on amber resin in the buds and ignore the sugar leaves going amber. hehe I no longer wait on amber of any kind. I take the plants down after I see cloudy resin, even if most of the resin is still clear. Less time wasted and less lethargic effects...

    Thrip attack!

I currently have thrips and have not solved it but have controlled it. I leave the effected leaves alone but if they are super damaged I remove them. I use spinosad in water mix and water the plants with it. Do that a few times with a week or so in between. I do not spray anything on the...

    The Old school Oaxacan

Oaxaca Gold and Columbian Gold... any reason you think it makes you feel like that? Not sure. Original Haze is clean for sure. They have some seeds of it somewhere now if you search. Icmag I think had the link. Colombian Gold is clean the early version. Later versions got more indica in...

    The Old school Oaxacan

I have not had any Mexican lately that is too trippy or negative. A good pheno will be good medicine for your mind. Snowhigh many varieties, Sinaloa from ACE, Cryptic Labs Oaxacan or Guerrero, Swami Guerrero, there are quite a few and none were bad. I have coming some seeds from Oaxacan...

    Side lights..effective?

I see some signs yes ^^ I keep all my plant at 20 inches tall or less and I grow sativas only right now. I will train or bend them daily if I need to. The plant will be going sideways if it stretches a lot, but the vertical is controlled.

    Side lights..effective?

I use supercropping which means I bend the plant over at several points on the main stem or secondary stems if need be. I pinch and then bend the stem till it is going horizontal. Pretty soon the part above the bend line will raise up to the light and then I do it again, maybe lower or higher...

    Side lights..effective?

I used to use it. If your overhead light does not penetrate the canopy fully then side lighting makes sense. I currently keep the canopy/plants real short so the side lights are not going to be needed.

Help! Thrips in flowering stage !

I forgot to add, the thrips when young are white and later turn black with a bit of white. Same bug different stage of life and color. The white ones are harder to see. They reproduce in the soil so a drench of soap and water could do the trick. I am just using the tape right now and it...
