When to make hash out of trimmings

The best hash product comes from WET sugar leaf and popcorn bud...frozen immediately after harvest. Gives the darkest, gooiest product with the least extra plant material. The unfortunate thing is I'm now convinced that dry trimming with the GreenBroz machine gives the best finished product in...

    Free Alpaca Manure

No need to compost Alpaca manure. Because of the Alpaca's digestive system, the manure is weed-free and pre-processed as long as not contaminated. Alpaca poo can go directly into a grow. I take the little dried beans and run them through a chipper/shredder to reduce them to a finer consistency...

    Johnstons Genetics

If seeded very early into flower, the buds will not swell the way they might have if unpollenated. If pollenated very late into flower, not as much loss of bulk in the bud. Hermies usually pollenate very early into the process, so you will lose quite a bit of potential weight in a hermie.

200 gallon hso blue dream indoor/outdoor grow

I tried my BD cut outdoors without covering and they went a bit too late. I started to cover mine with a blackout covering the second week of July and expect to take the first harvest early September. Well worth the extra labor.

Has anyone grown Blue Fin from Mosca?

I grew the c99 from seed as well. Kept it for four years as a clone and still grow it. I would have no problem testing other seeds from them. Go for it!

    Johnstons Genetics

Johnston's Genetics Seeds Grand Daddy Platinum PurpBerry Cookies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow! These are wonderful, huge outdoor plants. Smell better, more crystals and are bigger than my prize Blue Dream cut! Also had one much smaller pheno that turned mostly RED, but just as smelly and full of...

    Advanced nutrients help?!

SCREW Advanced Nutrients. Biggest rip-off in the business, I really cannot believe the kind of marketing claims...should be outlawed! If you absolutely need to buy something in a bottle for foliar feed in one step, get some Liquid Karma.

    Coffee grounds

Maybe you could get 50 lbs of eggshells to go with the coffee grounds. Then feed it to worms along with some green leftovers. That makes some supercharged worm castings.

    Aerated Compost Teas Anybody?

I do an aerated tea using guanos, worm castings, molasses but not kelp. I've read that kelp is exponentially better when used as a foliar spray. Do your own research and decide for yourself. I foliar feed daily with a very, very, very mild kelp/molasses mix. Less is more.

    Info on Compost Teas

Basically good info. My comments: I do not find it necessary to use RO water. As long as the chlorine has dissipated, tap water should suffice. My mix always includes small amount of Alpaca/LLama manure. Found a big difference by adding Liquid Gold from Kelp4Less.com.

Throw away my Organic soil or reuse it? <contaminated>

To give it a final revitalization, I water my reused soil with Liquid Gold from Kelp4Less.com BTW, this is a nice article if you have not come across it before. Here is on old post from 3 Little Birds.... We are about to commit heresy and tell people that we ALWAYS re-use our soil. No soil has...

Throw away my Organic soil or reuse it? <contaminated>

I leave my used indoor soil/coir mix outside during winter. Stored in large fabric pots. It gets well rinsed and is ready for a new set of amendments come spring. I'm basically friggin' cheap. I have another friend who grows in straight coir and uses chem fertilizers. Same program, store outside...

Top 44 Bubblegum vs Bubblegum any comments?

I had high hopes for the Serious Seeds Bubblegum, but popped 10 and didn't get on keeper from the entire bunch. Since then I have acquired a clone of Bubblegum X Chemdawg and it is part of my stable of keepers and I can't imagine ever getting rid of it. I think it may be best to search long and...

Air cooled lighting; efficient or inefficient?

I'll stick with air cooled, sealed 1000 w hps for flowering. My veg room seems to stay cool enough running two 1000 w open MH, tandem connected on a single light mover. Then again, I never run them when it is over 75 degrees outside. Outdoor rules in summer!

Want to go organic...a few opinions needed please

FFOF is good, but you may find it a tad "hot." I'd go with a 50/50 mix of FFOF and FFHF. To keep it simple, add 20% worm castings during veg, then small amounts of bat guano, fish bone meal and kelp meal in the flowering mix when you transplant. I highly recommend foliar feeding with a light...

    Organic top dress

I give real worm castings an A+ for topdressing during veg. Holy smokes, you'll see results immediately. Or maybe try a worm castings tea with alfalfa for watering rather than topdressing. I'm also trying out a new organic product called "Afterburner" made by Huls Dairy...
