What's your most hands off technique

I questioned the practice swapping the res every week another site when I started growing (again) in 2021 and the responses were, generally speaking, "because…". Swapping a res every week in RDWC/DWC is a good revenue generator for companies selling fertilizer but it may not be the best thing...

Second grow dwc to autopotspider farmer self watering system 100% coco

Per my sig block, I'm a big believer in "lotsa light" so kudos to you for feeding your plants well ("feed" because light is how a plant makes food; nutrients are how fertilizer companies make money). High light in veg helps ensure a lot of infrastructure for flower. Something you might want to...

    Wtf is goin on here?

Your plants look great. They have all of the characteristics of plants that have been given a good amount of light. There's lots of healthy leaves and the stems look thick, almost enough to think that you're using a silica supplement (highly recommended). When cannabis receives too much light...

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

Those are a bit cool, overall, but nothing that would cause any issues. With the information that you've provided, everything should be doing great. Given that it's not, what parts of the grow environment (attached) could be out of whack? Another thought - this "isn't your first rodeo" so...

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

Oops, thoughts #16 was you. At 70° and 60%, that's on the cooler side so RH of 60% will get you into seedling VPD-wise. That's slow nutrient uptake. 80 and 50 is a tad "high and dry". Going from a VPD of 1.2 to 1.5 is a 25% increase in transpiration/water uptake/nutrient uptake.

    Potassium Deficiency - or ?

"flutter" - text book 75-82 and 60's - see above. A lot of nutrient imbalances are caused by EC not being adjusted for VPD but I don't think that's the case here since those numbers are so good. Those temps that you're hitting in flower would give me pause. At those temps, transpiration will...

Slow grow auto flower ? Deficiency? What's the problem?

Until yesterday, I've been relying on my memory for a lot of this stuff but I installed a little "file search" app on my laptop yesterday. When I watch a video, I usually make notes about it. Apparently "temperature" is commonly used—who knew! You were absolutely right about Bugbee saying...

Slow grow auto flower ? Deficiency? What's the problem?

Mitch Westmoreland, a student under Bugbee, did a great video in which he shared some of the research he did for his PhD. From the video: I've seen a few references to growers saying that he has said that temps should be lower in flower and have gone through his vids (he released a video on...

DWC Northern Lights, problem with ph dropping low

I posted the above so that simple fact wouldn't get lost in this explanation. pH dropping in a hydroponics reservoir, in the vast majority of cases, is perfectly normal. Having said that, in a very small number of cases, it may be caused by decaying organic matter in your reservoir. If pieces...

    Led light ....

These settings use a conversion factor of 0.0175 which is extremely high. I use a dedicated flower light (LED) and it's not that high. Attached is a document I wrote to help growers convert lux to PPFD and no LED has a factor that high. A 3100° CMH (whatever that is) comes in a 0.0170...

    Led light ....

Re. dimmer settings and hang height - right on the manufacturer's product page. As is common with manufacturers, their guidance is conservative but this is more conservative than Mars. Their guidance will tend to be conservative because their goal is for you to have an excellent crop rather that...

Spider Farmer led grow light--less watts, more light

It's a Gorilla tent 2' x 4' and it's 56cm/22" between the poles. Thanks to your posting, I checked out the product description and it's a slightly different design than I had thought (an assumption being the mother of all F'ups). I thought they were using a setup similar to the Gorilla boards...

Spider Farmer led grow light--less watts, more light

I think I posted this before but I'll try it again. These "boards" might have the same design flaw as the ones for a Gorilla tent. The issue is the width. Unless there's a gap between the poles that hold up the board and the poles in the corners of the tent, a grower cannot use anything that...

What incrument %? is right for flowering

Day 19 of flower. By day 19 of flower, my plants would have been at 100% for a few weeks. I tried to find PPFD values for your light but wasn't able to find anything reliable. I used Google and then Chat. Chat came up with more info but, not unexpectedly, there were conflicting data. What...
