    Germinate seeds under light?

Yes i know, but anything that harms the plant will stunt growth for a while. I don't top my plants either for that reason.

    Germinate seeds under light?

yeah never had a plant die on me because of transplant, i just mean it seems like the plant does develop a bit quicker when not under the stress of transplanting several times.. i'm quite sure a lot of the roots are harmed when transplanting, even if very careful, the roots are extremely fragile...

    Germinate seeds under light?

Well my argument was that it seems unnecessary and possibly harmful to go through the paper method, putting it in a cup, transplating (some seems to transplant 2-3 times - very stressful to the plant to say the least). That's a a real hassle when handling a lot of plants. But yes, each to his...

    Germinate seeds under light?

ilyaas123: I'll leave the bags on for now, the HPS does dry out the top layer quite fast.. and no, i'm not saying the seed NEEDS light, i know it doesnt. Just wondering why total darkness is always recommended in guides. catofcuriosity: I've heard that too, but a lot of times i've germinated...

    Germinate seeds under light?

Why is darkness recommended for germination? Doesnt seem to make much sense to me, why would darkness be beneficial to the seed in any way? Just curious. I have some seedlings already but decided to go for a few more plants, so i've put the seeds in the pots in the same room, threw some black...

    Trichrome stages and yield?

yeah i'd say the white/brown hair ratio is around 50/50.. on some plants it's mostly white hairs. I'm on day 69 (counting from 12/12). The plants were vegged for one month. The strains are: Ice Bubblegum Cheese Super Critical Flo x C-Plus (this one looks extremely sativa) Chrystal I took...

    Trichrome stages and yield?

No i'm against taking pictures for security reasons (call me paranoid but imo not worth the risk). But yes, i think will let the sativa looking ones go rather far and the more indica looking ones will be chopped earlier.

    Trichrome stages and yield?

yeah i know about the high, i'm talking just about yield, i've read a lot of guides but none says anything WHEN the plant stops fattening up.. and yes i can see myself sacrificing the high on the main buds if i get much better yield by letting it go for longer than usual. Though obviously not...

    Trichrome stages and yield?

yeah but that will just be the main cola, it's not like the surrounding colas are as mature.. e.g main cola will be 50% rest maybe 10 or 20% amber.. and yes 50 is too much (except for sativas if you dont like their speedy high), but i'm very curious if the plant still is fattening up at this...

    Trichrome stages and yield?

Is there a big difference in yield if you crop a plant when there's no or maybe one or two amber trichromes and when 50% or even 100% amber? I'm guessing the main bud might not grow so much but the buds around it will start to fatten up? I'm using the LST technique (though i went a little too...

When does stretching stop (in flowering stage)?

That quick? And do they grow anything at all (height wise) after that or it's just bud formation after 2-3 weeks?

When does stretching stop (in flowering stage)?

Do they stretch for the entire flowering period (obviosuly more in the begining) or does it come to a complete halt after a month or so? I guess i've never really payed attention to when they stop stretching..

Light green around edges of leaves?

It's actually more like a lime green-almost-yellow color, but some of the tips on some of the other plants are really bright yellow, it's just a very tiny portion of the tip of the leaves though, no gradual fading to yellow. I don't have ANY rust/brown/dark spots (which often indicates burn)...

Light green around edges of leaves?

No idea about PH.. I guess i'll flush it and see what happens. Thanks.

Light green around edges of leaves?

No one? The strain is Bubblegum (can't remember from where). It seems like it starts with the tips going light green, then it spreads around the whole leaf. Here's an image: Flush or feed? :)

Light green around edges of leaves?

You think so? The dark green color, wouldnt that mean it has plenty of N? I have a few other plants which i believe is getting to this stadium too, the tip of their leaves are light green or yellow, the very tip, not a fade to yellow.

Light green around edges of leaves?

What could be the cause of this? I couldnt find a picture that shows this problem. The plant has a very dark green looking color other than the very edges of the leaves which has a completely different, light color. It does not gradualy fade to a new color (like in this pic...

    Chopping the main colas?

yeah you might be right about that haha, even if the buds wont grow much larger at least they will ripen :)

    Chopping the main colas?

Thanks for the replies, i think i will skip it since i don't think they will grow much bigger, like althor replied... And there will also be the problem with flushing, last two weeks the leaves should get yellow etc. I have the lamps very close so no problems there :)
