Yea i agree, they prob didnt see you go in there but maybe saw them while walking round the area and put the rope down to know where to come back in a few months, and prob didnt realize the same place they put the rope is the same way you go.
I would definatly move them.

finally some people on this side of the globe.
I actually thought i put mine in too late but they have been out for 4 weeks.
I am in Austria, but not from here. When i put them out as seedlings the weather was warmish and moist But has been great for 2 weeks now similar to you guys.

In my description i said "golden brown", it was more golden yellow with a light browny color, very soft

Well it is just going into winter, harvest hear is about April, when its summer here its winter in Europe/America, when winter here its summer in Europe/America,
So our next outdoor plant is not till Nov.

Salt around the perimeter on the ground of the plants will keep slugs and snails away for sure,
Do you think rotten eggs will attract some animals, they seem to eat anything that is eatable, but maybe nothing will eat rotten eggs!! good idea though.
