i don’t let the coco go bone dry like I have done in the past. I just usually wait a bit when I first pot up thinking behind it is that it has the roots going out searching more. i gotta say I feel like they should be ahead more than they are now but suppose the lack of nutes didn’t help. I got...

lol someone else said overwatered. I thought it was just the feed being bit to low. First few feeds was an ec of 0.5. I have potted them up since Sunday. Can see some roots poking through the bottom of the holes. I do get to the point where I am watering them daily.

what’s your background ec? I’m just going by what the pen says, I know canna recommend building upto that much. Personally I’ve not had to take plants that high though.

Right this really is just for anyone using canna coco nutes and has broken a pen but knows their background. it seems the ml you add per water increases the ec by half of what you’ve added. 1ml a and b into a litre sees an increase of 0.5ec 1.2ml into a litre 0.6ec 1.4ml 0.7ec and so on makes...

Okay pen has arrived. adding 1.5ml which they have got twice works out at an ec of 0.8. Now the top of the plants look a decent shade of green. The lower leaves which have turned yellow I doubt will come back. Just concerned if 0.8 is enough? Don’t want that hunger continuing to spread up the...

fingers crossed man haha. I’m confident as it is just a hunger issue. Will do an update tomorrow when the ec meter arrives anyway as can be sure then what they are getting. Also gonna write it down what adding 1ml of the feed does to the ec. Just so I can keep it for the future. I gotta be...

Cheers, yeah the newer growth is looking a much better shade of green. Just know though that the hunger starts from the bottom so don’t want them getting hungry as well. ec meter tomorrow will tell me what they’ve been getting. Will see from there what to adjust by. I am going to also pot them...

overwater? You know I’m in coco right and even then been watering every other day. It’s hunger though glad everyones agreed on that. makes my life a lot easier lol. will see what they’ve been getting when my ec meter arrives and make the adjustments from there. Cheers

that was 1.5ml of canna coco nutes lol not 1.5ec, that IMO would be to high for plants in veg. My ec pen arrives tomorrow but a mate says that’s seen his water increase by 0.6ec. The thing is I have jumped up before and run into clawing so I will onlyincrease things very slowly if that’s the case

How many feeds you think it will take to see some improvement? the tops are darker of course but yeah want to stop the hunger rising. Slightly bigger pots and correct feed come Saturday. I was giving them 1ml then went to 1.4 but just gave 1.5ml canna coco a and b. My mate has said his plants...

I always get to the point where watering daily. Just thought best to let it dry slightly at this stage when they are young. Still watering every other day like I say. I ain’t gonna bump the feed anything to him as had clawing in the past. Will probably decide based on when I see what I have been...

thanks for the reply, I was thinking similar. I’m feeding them soon as the top of the coco starts to look dry. Working out about every other day at the moment. The roots aren’t the best looking either tbh. Actually n this is just me being picky. It feels a little like the coco in these pots has...

got some plants here which are youngish, been in these small pots for about two weeks now. They aren’t looking good at all and can’t be sure as to why. I’m thinking the yellow leaves are hunger rather than anything else? They was getting 1ml of canna coco a&b per litre. EC pen broke and then...

not so much fussed by yield, course I want it worth while but no good having lots of shit lol . solid dense nugs, I suppose that depends on the strain. I wouldn’t have the patience to grow sativas maybe one day. Don’t have any issues with density though as usually end up with a fairly even...

grown critical plus and didn’t really impress me beyond a decent yield. Wasn’t bad but was exactly what I mean by average. As are other strains I’ve run by dinafem tbh. Almost feels like watered down versions of the strain they’ve tried to react and name to appeal to the market. For example...

yeah gonna be doing this and only running seeds from breeders I have found high percentage of decent plants from in the past when searching. Days of just popping seeds constantly are over for me, had enough.

    Finding mothers

I think an issue has been I have got to the stage where I was happy to just get clones and thought it was saving me time. A friend would pop regs and then just strip a female for clones. Then would run that and so wasn’t getting to really see what was in the whole pack of seeds to select the...

    Finding mothers

I’m not just looking for a mother that’s the latest hype. I would say it’s fairly rare but have found stuff I would happily keep and regret not doing so. It’s just the obsession of trying new strains which is part of the fun for me. Given how most stuff doesn’t impress me much though I’m gonna...

    Finding mothers

I live in the uk so can’t comment on dispensary weed but I have of course seen poorly grown stuff. There is so much competition here even the cash croppers as we call them tend to have decent stuff. The thing is they always have the same stuff so I guess they are just running the same clones...

    Finding mothers

Grown for years now and have to say I’ve found most plants end up just quite average. I could probably buy better stuff, as I’m guessing the dealers I know are buying from people who are just running their keepers or bought clones. Rather than just popping a packet of seeds every time. At times...
