are you in flowering? i dont think you are if the plant is 4" tall.. in that case you wont know until you start flowering. if you have began 12/12 light cycles you might need to wait a little longer. check the growFAQ for answers on sexing plants.. can you get pics of the plants?

yeah you could veg them for about 3-4 weeks. after about a week into veg i would use the FIM technique..

yeah they are cool if you leave them in a resevoir they wont have to be calibrated often(as long as you keep it plugged in). i had one from Hannah Instruments and it broke after about a year..

no water today they are still doing good.. soil is moist. more pics as lights come on..

what is.. taking a clone? it is cutting a branch off what is.. topping? it is cutting a branch off so.. when you take clones a good rule of thumb is to never cut down more than 1/3 the plant.. same with topping
