Where do you keep ppm nutrient levels in soil

When feeding I feel it's still good to know the strength of your feeding solution. I was taught to water slowly with plenty of run off for two reasons. It ensures that your medium is thoroughly saturated to avoid dry pockets. It also helps to wash away any salt buildup and gives a fresh start...

Where do you keep ppm nutrient levels in soil

I've always had decent results with 1 or 2ml of Dyna gro and when I tested the concentration it falls between 300 and 400. I tend to like to feed with every water.

Where do you keep ppm nutrient levels in soil

i recently invested in a ppm meter and it seems like you can find ppm feed charts for hydro pretty much anywhere but for soil it seems Dyna gro is the only company to post a soil ppm chart. It seems in soil they recommend less than half the ppm concentration that they do in hydro if I remember...

Yellow and dead curled leaves, 6 week into flower

That's not what light bleaching looks like and trust me, a five gallon pot is more than adequate for an indoor plant. I honestly believe that they just aren't getting enough nutrition so they are pulling it from the leaves. Next run either up your dosage or feed with every water.

Yellow and dead curled leaves, 6 week into flower

remember too guys, that nutritional requirements are higher the bigger a plant becomes. Every haze I've grown typically stretches a fair amount and become huge during flower. Next run maybe feed with every watering and see how that works for you

Yellow and dead curled leaves, 6 week into flower

Seems like mostly N deficiency. Nitrogen requirements taper down during flower but the plant definitely still needs healthy amounts. What's the NPK of your nutrient mix and how much do you use? Btw I recommend a ppm meter even even for soil. It makes gauging you nutrient schedule so much easier...

    Nutrients for soil grows

According to the dyna feeding chart, hydro calls for, at its highest point somewhere in the 1400 range. In its soil chart the highest rate is in the mid 500s

    Nutrients for soil grows

You guys sort of touched on ppm levels but then it just died off. I recently bought a meter so that I can be more exact when feeding and also so that I could more easily switch nutrient brands and give a fair comparison. I was wondering what range you guys normally keep you ppm reading within...

    Any grow store owners/employees?

I was just kinda curious... What are the hottest items and biggest sellers? Is it pretty constant or do the "hot" items change from year to year? If there were any must have items you sell what would they be? FYI I'm in Illinois and just curious. You don't have to worry about any conflict of...

I just got slimed... unleashed a slime bomb

Lol and I know you have to keep extreme temps at bay but before I had to keep temps really low to avoid slime which would slow rooting for me ime

I just got slimed... unleashed a slime bomb

I dont ever keep it unchanged but did it to see how long it would keep the water clean. I'm just letting people know that it works against slime. That I know 100%. Even once slime has established itself

I just got slimed... unleashed a slime bomb

With the calcium hypochlorite you really don't have to worry about temps either.

I just got slimed... unleashed a slime bomb

In my cloning rez I always use calcium hypochlorite. Just as an experiment, I've been able to keep the same water in the cloner for almost two months slime free. Not sure if this would work with what you guys have goin on, but I can tell you that it's definitely effective against slime.

    Calcium hypochlorite rates?

I'm not sure where to post this. Please move it if there is a better location. I keep reading all over multiple forums that a solid way to keep your reservoir clean, is by using calcium hypochlorite. The recipe says to make a stock solution of 1g to one gallon of water. The stock solution is...

Uncle Ben's Gardening Tweeks and Pointers

I read on a gardening forum some people claiming that you can't really go overboard with manure. The more the better. Is this true? The claim was that as long as it is well composted, then it shouldn't burn your plants...

Uncle Ben's Gardening Tweeks and Pointers

Hey UB! Not sure where else to post this but you've long advocated time released ferts. Would something like chickity doo doo (commercial composted chicken poop) be sufficient for flowering? I know I should go by what the plant is telling me it needs but I'm unsure how to go about adding...
