No fans. It makes them turn an ugly color. A small dehumidifier on a timer can be helpful.

Buuuuuuuuut, after spending who knows how much on rock wool cubes I finally but a small cloner for about $62 with tax. The improvement is remarkable! Roots after 7 days. No yellow leaves. And it's pretty much plug in and play set up. Fill with water and done. No constant spraying... but...

So I have seen a lot of posts lately about trouble with cloning. Lots of pics of ugly clones, that will in all likelihood pull through, but I want to improve my cloning. This is a batch of some clones that are just starting to root... ugly right? They will root and recover, but still.

Totally normal. They always look a little worse for the wear until they are fully rooted and eating and drinking again. Keep spraying them and be patient. The one point you might want to change is you way way too much light. I use about 20% as much wattage to clone. More light is not better...

Are you checking your ph? It looks like it could be a little off, but like ledhed said, it's probably going to work itself out.

Yes the soil will change the ph. Pics would be helpful in diagnosing your problem.

What makes you think it's a sativa?

It's pushing it for sure. The standard is 15%, that's a max of 1350 watts. If it doesn't trip the internal breaker you're probably okay. Better off buying a 1800 watt power strip for $15.
