    Zensation CFL grow

Try this: Tie a string to the top of the plant, near the tip of the plant's stem, right at the highest node. Pull the plant's stem down gently. Your plant will now be in a 45° angle. Tie the string to your pot Your plant will start to branch outward; the branches will grow up and out, and...

    Day 12 how they lookin

As a general rule, you'll often notice your plant's leaves telling you when it's time for more doses of fertilizer. Signs such as: 1.) The leaves start to turn a lighter-green than they usually are. When the green starts to progress to yellow, you know it's time to up the amount the plant...

1st grow in Seattle, with tent, 78°, 71 RH (with fan)

Hmmm...you are working with 16 square feet, so an HPS 150 is putting off about 9.75 watts per square feet, if you take into account the square dimensions of the tent. How close is the light to your plant? It's kind of hard to give any input on if that's enough light, because the light could be...

    First grow, Indoor, Soil

From the looks of your plants, I'd say SOG is definitely the best option. Do you think they'll grow mainly one top cola-each? If you plan on letting them grow and branch out a bit more, a SCROG would probably work better. Do you plan on upping the pot size before 12/12 or will you keep them in...

    First grow, Indoor, Soil

I have no SOG or SCROG experience, but I do use a Mylar tent with limited space, so I'd imagine SOG would give you the best results since you're using 6 inch pots. 18 plants can be packed into your tent and get enough light exposure on the foliage to give you nice buds. From what I see with a...

Help first time grower using cfls

"Enough light" all depends on what your setup looks like. What are you trying to accomplish your grow; are you trying to just get a "decent" harvest to smoke, or do you want "top-notch" quality weed that looks like a "High Times" ad? The more info you can give the better. Right now you're...

PH level with Soil and Coco mix?

Since soil has a "buffer" that makes PH not necessarily important, I'd suggest sticking within the range that you'd normally do with Coco...5.8.

1st grow in Seattle, with tent, 78°, 71 RH (with fan)

Wow, that humidity is rather high! The only thing I can recommend is to get a dehumidifier if you can. They are pretty pricey, but here is one for cheap (comparably). It's about $70 at Best Buy...just an example.

    Question

I imagine the nutrients you're using are soil-based? If so, I don't really see any need to "flush" since you'll be releasing more nutrients into your root zone and that would defeat the purpose of flushing. Unless you're doing for another reason?

    cfl and mylar tent

A 1,000 watt HPS will be overkill for such a small space, and your ventilation task will be pretty enormous. Check out one of my journals. I haven't posted any of my current grows due to lack of activity in previous ones; but you'll see how you can get good results with CFLs without having to...

4/20 grow! Need a lil help

It is hard to say that your plant will have any negative reactions to 92° heat. Many plants tolerate significantly higher temperatures and do just fine. Your plant WILL consume more water as the leaves transpire more, so you will have to water it a bit more than usual. Just keep a close eye on...

1st timer need math guru for cfl lighting question! 3 weeks from harvest

You have give or take 3 square feet. You're getting about 900 lumens per square foot. Sorry, I can't determine what that is in meters off of the top of head. Do you have any pictures of your setup? I personally recommend at LEAST 50 watts per square foot. 75 watts per is even better. The...

Good advice! I use a 4:1 ratio myself. And 5000K lighting along with 2100K and 2600K.

    197w CFL grow>

From what I can see, looking good. Then again, I'm heavily biased towards CFLs! Throw some side lighting on the bottom sides of the plant to supplement the light. That will help. CFLs don't have less penetration, per se, they just have less lumens which equals less light. I personally use two...

1st grow ever! cfl and sweet skunk auto

Looking good..nice, healthy and green. Just keep an eye out on the soil, to make sure the plant doesn't start getting nutrient burn, for instance, due to "too rich" soil. Best of luck with the grow!

    First Grow Bagseed 375 Watt

So far so good, nice growing. Just keep a close eye on them; since they are bagseed, there is a greater chance of getting hermaphrodites, or growing males stamen (nanners). On the bright side, a much higher chance of getting a female plant! Unless there was a "rogue" male plant somewhere that...
